Gianna Blanco

Gianna Blanco is a Junior from Huntsville, Alabama, majoring in Professional Meteorology with a Broadcast emphasis. She is also pursuing minors in GIS as well as Broadcast and Digital Journalism. Driven by a passion for community service, she stays actively involved as the Meteorology Ambassador for the Geosciences Club, Treasurer for Students for St. Jude, and a member of the Outreach Committee for Maroon VIP. Gianna found her love for meteorology in an unexpected place–the Nintendo Wii Forecast Channel. She is interested in exploring both the broadcast and operational sides of the field, but is working toward being a hurricane hunter. Outside of the chapter, Gianna loves photography, musicals, painting, and spending quality time with friends! ​
