Shaina Wilburn is a first year PhD student from Nashville, TN who will be specializing in mesoscale meteorology research. She received her B.S. in Geoscience from Mississippi State University in 2018 and her M.S. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2021, where she studied lightning dynamics. When she isn’t sitting outside watching thunderstorms, you can find her watering her 90+ houseplants, exploring with her black lab, or (trying to win) at trivia night. This year’s symposium will be her fifth in-person conference and she is excited to work with this year’s chapter to make our 20th anniversary an amazing experience!
